Before I even knew what it was, I was interested in design. Beginning with my need to produce elegant code when I first learned to program in elementary school, up through my current research on visual rhetoric, I have long sought to create persuasive and functional media. In college, I served as president of the MSU chapter of the American Advertising Federation and worked as a design specialist for the Office of Sustainability. After college, I spent two years working as a web designer before going to graduate school. While in graduate school, I produced a range of materials for courses and co-curricular programs, as well as websites for academic conferences. And, as I started teaching more online, I began to focus more carefully on video editing and design as well. In this portfolio, I include samples of some of the materials that I have created over the years. Enjoy!
